This is right alongside Highway 13. It is an old highway bridge that crosses a railway and on the other side is a railway trestle. It is a unique design and I had to stop and look it over.
Nature has long since reclaimed the old road.
Looking off the east side of the bridge to the trestle below.
I really, really like these bridge pictures.
ReplyDeleteFrom a distance it looks like a park ride...I love the discoloration of the close up photos. Great stuff!
ReplyDeleteDon't see them like that anymore - great photos, BW!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I remember reading about this bridge on BigDoer.com.

I freely admit to visiting places that bigdoer.com has been to however I did not know they have been here. I am beginning to wonder if there is any place Chris Doering has not been. My visit was a quick stop and I did not check out the underside. I read his post after you mentioned it and it is a good article.
DeleteI think the Doerings have been EVERYWHERE... except in Manitoba. Soon they are going to take over my province too. ;)
DeleteI have met Chris and he is a nice guy. If he does take over Manitoba he will likely be a benevolent dictator.
