Zion Lutheran Church Kyle, Saskatchewan

July 16, 2016. Six kilometres west off Highway 4 south of Kyle. I made a detour here because I thought it was an abandoned church. It is still in use. I was going to turn around but the top of the steeple caught my attention.

This is unique and I have yet to see one like it. The year on the arrow is 1926 which is the year the church was built. I love running across rural Lutheran churches. They have a classic look to them.

  1. That is a beautiful church. I thought it was just a cross, but it is a weather vane, and a cross, and a marker of the date of construct...very unique indeed!
