Abandoned between Loreburn and Davidson, Saskatchewan

Spotted this abandoned house August 11, 2017. The ground close to the house had caved in at several spots. I was wondering if that was the reason it was abandoned.

This has the look of a haunted house. It might look really interesting in October.

Built in wall unit that looks in great shape.

  1. At my first glance the thought "Haunted" came to mind.

  3. A once beautiful house that now seems more creepy than beautiful.

  4. The caving may have been caused from the massive weight of the house sitting on a concrete foundation over what we used to call a cellar hole, just a dirt hole in the ground under the house with no support. The hole was often used for storing veggies and preserves over the winter.

  5. That's a beauty! Maybe a row of carved pumpkins glowing in the dark along the veranda would spruce it up a bit. Nice find, BW.

  7. I seen this house last August, it stood tall and eerie with Christmas lights still on the front porch and an owl flew out of the 3rd floor window. I could see the cabinet through the window from a far and what looked to be a beautiful red wood railing up the stairs. Must of been a beautiful home at one time.
