Nordegg, Alberta January 23, 2016

In another day and time Nordegg used to be a coal mining town. Original coal mining carts.




This is just in front of the museum in Nordegg. If you go wander up the mountain you can find remains from the coal mining days.

    Great place to explore when it will be a wee bit warmer outside! Mining history is very interesting. There are old zinc mines not far from here.

    We have some photos of mining equipment, from up in the Sonora area, and a few others..with rail carts as well. I will see if Ken can gather them for me..they are on his computer, and I will share them.
