Crossing Kootenay Lake in British Columbia from Crawford Bay to Balfour. I have posted this crossing before. Winter gives a different look to it. Kootenay Lake is sixty-five miles long. The crossing takes thirty-five minutes and the crossing is about file miles. It is the longest free ferry ride in the world. Sternwheelers used to travel this lake.
The dock at Balfour. Lots of ducks in the water here. Nice place in the summer.
They get a big tide there! A ferry boat ride is always a good thing.
