Lonely tree

Beside Highway 371 just across the border into Saskatchewan from Alberta. Waiting for spring to bloom and sweep away the stark look of the end of winter. March 25, 2017.

  1. On the other side of a small field visible from the house where I grew up was a lone tree like this one. When I saw this photo I immediately thought of home.

  2. My old friend, and one heck of a photographer, John Sharpe, would travel across the province, no the west, is search of solitary trees to shoot. It was his thing. I'm sure he'd love this one.
