Chesterfield School, Saskatchewan

This is a few miles from Estuary. Estuary Saskatchewan itself is a ghost town.

I have no information on the school or how long it operated. I am surprised it is still standing. It looks lonely.

Thought I would give it the black and white treatment.

  1. It does look lonely for sure. A testament to how well-built things were back in the day.

    1. This is on a hill. There is a river just a little south of this spot.

  3. The town may have been named Estuary due to the Red River flowing into the South Saskatchewan River just west of town?

  4. I wonder how much longer it will be standing?

  6. Can you imagine the stories that building could tell. The hopes and dreams. Sadness and happiness. Tragedy and victory. Maybe someone became famous back in the day. Nice pics BW.

For fun I tried google and:
