Restaurants in most of Alberta were allowed to open on May 14 with a host of restrictions. I could not hold out any longer. I stopped at a place where they know how to cook a steak and had a ribeye with a baked potato. For my side I had a very tall beer. It is definitely weird to be served by a waiter wearing a mask.
The important thing is the weather today was 22C and sunny. The steak was awesome and the beer was thoroughly enjoyable. Here is to a return to normalcy and a wonderful summer.
Good for you.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are able to be out in the real world. We have to wait a while longer unless our patience runs out.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly was a gorgeous day on Saturday. My Rare One and I barbecued ribeyes in her backyard -- the king of steaks. I made blueberry crostata for dessert. The first perfect BBQ of the season!
ReplyDeleteGlad you finally got to go out for a meal!
ReplyDeleteThe weekend here was plenty warm and a perfect time to plant the pots and planters on the balcony (that's what gardeners do on their day off...lol!). I think the only time I went out was to buy a few more plants and Golden Pheasant beer.
I'm dreaming of a trip to our favourite steak place too but it's not going to happen for awhile. Maybe our anniversary in September if there isn't a second wave of the virus.
