Sometimes something tells you to turn down a road. I was in the County of Smoky Lake, Alberta on a weekend and just visited a spot on my list. I was going to drive by and I got urge to turn down a country road and a few miles later saw this.
This is a lovely tiny church. You can see the bell tower which is a separate building in the corner of the property. I have no idea if it is still in use. I do know that I will have to make a return visit. It was a bit of a miserable day when I was there. I would love to see the inside.

ReplyDeleteThat's a sweetheart of a church! I did some research of that area and I think it was called "Cossack" at one time. The church is still in use and there are some recent burials in the cemetery as well.
