This school cairn sits midway between Grasslands National Park and McCord, Saskatchewan.
It was a treat to see that a generous soul had weed-whipped all around the monument. Things are always better when someone cares.
It stands about six feet tall.
The school painting adds a little "down home country charm" to the stark and imposing concrete monument.
The information plaque. These are usually made of brass but this one appears to be something more akin to aluminum or zinc.
Standing behind the cairn and looking northwards.
The plaque is probably not brass because brass anything gets stolen all the time because it's worth money.
