Low budget historical marker

The sign is likely legitimate. Around 1914 the town of Mervin, Saskatchewan was moved a little bit east because the railway was built a bit east of this site. I like the fact that someone took the time to mark the town's original location.

  1. I was thrilled to see your photo of Mervin. My grandfather came to that area from Scotland in around that time and my cousins still live there. We visited in 2007 and enjoyed seeing where my family lived. My grandfather migrated here to Australia in the early 1920's.

    1. Now I feel a little bad for not driving a few miles to publish photos of the town. This is as far as I got to Mervin.

    2. Don't feel bad! I thought it was great to see the Mervin sign. We have quite a few photos of Mervin and surrounding area and the families there. Thanks again.
