St. Joseph's Catholic Church 1928, Courval, Saskatchewan

Courval is a ghost town. According to the internet it had five residents in 2006. I am not sure if anyone lives there now. The church is a heritage site. I was unable to find when the church stopped being used. Photo was taken on June 20, 2020.

  1. Love the belltower and covered entryway.

  2. A nice one. Interesting to note that the crosses look pristine, not like the pain on the rest of the building.

  3. Says here, moved to this site in 60's. Closed in 1981.
The "grotto" in the back corner is an interesting feature. Anyone know it's purpose?

    1. The grotto is symbolic religious display often found at Catholic Churches.
