Root Beer ice cream is my kryptonite. MacKay's has been around since 1948. They were still there when I dropped in via motorcycle on May 20, 2015. The ice cream is somewhat famous in Alberta.

Never had root beer flavored ice cream. Think that I would like that! We had a root beer float: a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a glass of root beer topped with whipped cream and a cherry.
