Kevisville, Alberta

On a side road that is really a nice stretch of rural highway. May 18, 2015 side trip.

I like these signposts where you get directions to where everyone lives. Likely not up to date.

Pretty much all that remains. There was a schoolhouse near the church.

    1. I am not sure if this is an Alberta thing or was an Alberta thing. You see lots of these signposts in rural areas. The ones that I have seen have not been kept up. The AMA (Alberta Motor Association) had their own signposts in rural area pointing out locations. Those look like they have not been kept current for years as well.

    3. This particular sign (and many others in the area) were actually done by the 4H club. They are definitely NOT up to date :P

There is also a cemetary down the same stretch of road, and the inhabitants are mostly rural farmers.

  2. I'll with Double - have never come across a sign like that - must have been placed at a crossroad.

    1. The odd thing is that I see these in back roads all over the place and never really thought anything of them. You do see them at rural intersections. I can see the purpose of them, a lot of times things look the same on the prairie. A little direction can help a lot.
