Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church

A beautiful little Romanian church in Wood Mountain, Saskatchewan.  It's great to see some of traditional southeastern Europe so close to home. The rounded apse is simply wonderful.

The interior shots were taken from outside through the windows.

  1. Lovely! And in Wood Mountain, SK, eh? So what's there? A little hill?

    1. This is where the prairie transforms into rolling hills. The locals admit that it's quite pretty there in the fall.

  2. Nice! Doesn't look like a typical Orthodox church from the front!
