When I was out by Elnora, Alberta I spotted a few 4-H signs and these are the only ones I have ever seen in Alberta. 4-H has been around around for over one hundred years. I have relatives that were in 4-H These have the familiar 4-H emblem at the top with signs pointing the direction to farms in the area.
I spent 3 years in 4-H when I was an adolescent in Manitoba. Our town's 4-H club was the largest in the province. I made an apron, a skirt, and a bunch of crafts. Then I kicked over the traces and said "enough of this!"
ReplyDeleteSpent many years as a kid in 4-H. Learned sewing, canning & freezing, cooking, crafting, raised steers, lambs, and hogs. How to keep records, balance books, deal with bankers, & give reasons, among other things...
ReplyDeleteI took a photo of one of those signs also...I posted it on March 17th. Mine also has a Mose on it...must be many Moseses out there.
