June 9, 2018 in Fosterton, Saskatchewan. Built 1919. The front door is barred. I doubt it is still in regular use.

The church is open. The bar is there to keep the doors closed when the wind blows.

I don't think I've ever seen a country Lutheran Church that was locked up unless it was permanently closed.
