A post just to post something

Trying to get posting again. My vehicle has been in the shop for a week. A part is on its way from Toronto. At this point I think it is being shipped by bicycle courier. I am using my winter beater in the meantime however I am not sure I can trust it for a long trip. Good times.

  1. I enjoy perusing your blog of all the rural scenes. Too bad Canada is weary of US citizens tramping around the country side. I have a 19' travel trailer that I enjoy going down the country road to see where it goes and toward the end of the day finding a wide spot camp for the night and spend time taking non professional pictures of my experience. There is beauty and a profound peace in just looking down and walking a remote dirt road.

    1. I think the border is fully open to those that are fully vaccinated. Personally I love to have people visit our country.

    2. Not me, don't do any vaxxes. If the silliness abates I do plan on hitting your gravel roads.

    3. I live in South Dakota, so it isn't as far to travel...

  3. Curious. I have made two motorcycle trips west of the Manitoba border over the years, and wound up needing Honda parts whilst out there. Things I could get thru the local dealer, (out of Montreal, they said) were overnight courier, over the weekend at worst. Cross into Manitoba and it suddenly becomes 10-14 days for 'reasons'.

    1. It can be weird in the best of times. When I was renovating a home about ten years ago I was in a plumbing showroom, with a big warehouse attached, picking out kitchen stuff. When I made the selection I was told that it was six weeks to order the stuff and this was nothing out of the ordinary. I went elsewhere.

  4. Shipping times for pretty much everything is pretty dismal these days and stands to get worse over the next couple of months if the news reports are to be believed. Hope your parts arrive quickly!
