I remember driving along highway 39, chasing a train south, when I spotted that church. I had to take a few minutes to photograph it before resuming the chase.
Someone asked on a previous post about the star and crescent on the steeple, maybe on this church, or maybe another, I can't remember.
Does anyone yet know what it signifies?
Supposedly Islam adopted the more familiar form of the star and crescent during the Ottoman empire, but it dates from Byzantine times. Can't find any connection twixt that and a United Church steeple...
