Manitoban Hay Bales

Somewhere near Sinclair, Manitoba.

Is it "haybales" or "hay bales"?

  1. It's hay bales, not haybales. In both Canadian and American English.

  2. But those are hay roles. A bale is rectangular.

    1. Hay bale definition: a cylindrical or rectangular bundle of hay. Which differs from a straw bale.

    2. Well, since we're playing with words - they'd be hay rolls, not roles. Unless they were people masquerading as hay bales, then they'd be playing hay roles... Have a great day!

    3. You would think bales would be the least controversial subject to post . . .
