Abandoned cemetery, April 29, 2018

About twenty-two kilometres northwest of Walsh, Alberta. It is fenced off. There is a small sign saying it is Zion Cemetery of Many Island. The space is overgrown, the markers are showing their age, some graves have no markers. The graves and markers, what ones there are, are hidden in the grass. Unless you kept an eye out you would not notice this forgotten final resting place.

  1. November 1918, wasn't that the time of the Spanish flu? Hard times everywhere...

  3. You're welcome.

Way back when there was also a one room school to the north and a post office to the east.
