You literally see these things practically all
over Alberta. They are in farmer’s fields, out in the bush, and in some places
like Drayton Valley they have built houses around them in housing developments.
These are three picture of the same pumpjack that went from bare land to what
is pictured in less than a month. The rig mats are needed to deal with the mud.
Those old greaseholes might be ugly, but the taxes they generate pay the public's bills quite nicely.
