Last month during my British Columbia excursion I got to Ferguson.
Located: 50.676387, -117.477620
Ferguson was a mining town that came into being about 1896. At one time there was shops, hotels, and about eight hundred people here. By 1920 the place was practically deserted.
I wanted to get here just to see if there was anything left of the old town. There were no buildings, apparently one of the old hotels survived into the 1970's. There might have been some relics back in the bush. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is a place where people have summer cabins. Quite nice ones. The peaked metal roof is a must, this place gets a lot of snow.
Charming!
