A pioneer cemetery near Alston, Alberta. The sky to the north was a perfect backdrop to photograph the strikingly simple and sweet main marker.
There are twenty-eight known burials here but only eleven grave markers, many of which are low to the ground and difficult to spot.
The Rocky Mountains can be been on the western horizon.
