Railroad water tower, Kenaston, Saskatchewan

These are relatively rare. This is a water tower/tank for steam trains. There used to be hundreds of them. I believe there are only four left in Alberta and nine in Saskatchewan. I know of at least two in British Columbia. All of the ones I have seen have the same design.

  1. Neat. It would make an interesting house.

  2. That's different! I don't think I've ever seen a railroad water tower, most I've seen have been at old houses.

  3. I have not seen nearly enough of these. In Alberta I have seen 3.

  4. I have seen a couple here but they are of the 'up on stilts' design.
