Quick barn post

Hard to find a classic barn where you can get onto the property and get a decent photo. For this one I happen to know the owner. Unfortunately it started to rain when I was here.

I am looking forward to hopefully getting back into the swing of posting.

  1. I wonder at the purpose of the 'pointy peak' on the roof. I know it sort of covers the loft entrance but I don't suppose it would offer much protection from the elements.

    1. It held a rope & pulley system to move bails of hay from the ground to the loft. All manual labor of course.

    4. ah - thank you! I knew it must have a purpose. I'm in Ontario and it's very rare to see a barn with this type of roof.

    5. You are welcome. Been a while since I have been to Ontario. Use to come up that way for business.

  3. Actually, the clouds give the sky portion of your photo some really nice character.
