Little Red Fire Truck
Just a few days ago as I was leaving the Village of Hyas, Saskatchewan I saw this little red fire truck.
I've always liked this Ford cabover design...especially when it's painted red.
A brother-in-law used to have a red Ford cabover grain truck. He liked red vehicles as much as I do.

Need a few more days to do nothing
Christmas is always a bit of a rush. On the twenty-fourth I drove two and one half hours to spend Christmas Day at my sister's place. I got a hotel room for that night because I had a free room from a promotion that had to be used by a certain date and they did not have their spare room set up for company. It was quieter that way.
Christmas Day I drove the five minutes from my hotel to my sister's place for breakfast. Then I drove half an hour to visit a friend, then back to my sister's place for dinner. Dinner was roast beef, which was good, I just had my heart set on turkey. You can't always get what you want. After dinner I drove two and one half hours home. Nothing against my sister and her family, they are good people. They keep their place too cold and I would rather spend the night in my own place. I was back around nine-thirty.
Boxing Day was spent with the phone turned off and doing nothing. One of the best gifts I could have given myself.

South of Wynyard, Saskatchewan
I had this in one of my folders. I was not sure if I wanted to post it or not as I was not sure if I liked it. A few people mentioned that they like it so I thought I would post it.
This is in very rural Saskatchewan with nothing around for miles.

Springside School
The historic Springside School in Springside, Saskatchewan. The building is still in use.
Way up top...one hundred years old!
School District No. 1148. There were over five thousand school districts in Saskatchewan.
The cornice around the the top of the building.
This one is in great condition and looks even better in person.

Bales in the Snow
Some bales that, due to crazy weather conditions, are still in the field in mid-December, 2019.
These were sighted just across the road from Mission Willowbrook Covenant Church and Cemetery in Saskatchewan.
