I loved this place, but I still am a little irritated by it. What I read online before going here was that you needed a high clearance four wheel drive to drive up the road to get there. It is about a kilometre walk and I drive a KIA Soul. So I parked at at the base of the road and walked up. After walking all the way there, all of it uphill since you are walking up a mountain, I saw that I could have easily slowly and carefully driven up in my car.

The road to the cemetery. It is in kind of an odd place, outside of Ainsworth up on the mountain. There is a great view from the cemetery.

Close this sign the road forks, the other way goes to an old mine.

Beautiful place to be laid to rest.

Believe there was a grave here marked by a rock as a headstone.

  1. Oh well, it looks like it was a beautiful day for a walk! And you DID say you wanted to get more in shape.

  2. Add 6 minutes more to your life (uphill is more). You can use it to visit some more beautiful places as it is, as Debra said, a beautiful day to get out of the vehicle.

  3. Looks like the kind of place I'd like to be someday. To visit...

  4. A peaceful place and quite musical I suspect with the wind in the pine trees.
