Abandoned Catholic Church at Fish Creek, Saskatchewan. It is on privately owned land with lots of "No Trespassing" signs posted so I could not get close.
A good camera! I zoomed in on the steeple, I liked the details. Very nice.
You show all these places that once had the population to support all this. There was some serious time & capital spent on building the church...and one day they all left. In some ways it reminds me of the cliff dwellings down in the Four corners area, a lot of work building them and then they just walked away.. The ones at the Navajo National Monument come to mind, 75 years from start to finish.
Did you take the Hague Ferry?
ReplyDeleteOf course!

You know I love this one. Too bad you couldn't have gotten closer and maybe see inside.
ReplyDelete"No Trespassing" signs mean you need to find a local to give you permission to access the site. But I'm sure you know that already.
ReplyDeleteIt's a grand old building.
