Wildlife in Jasper National Park

Jasper, Alberta is about three and a half hours from where I live. I like to do a day trip there a few times through the year. Sometimes you get to see something interesting. This is only part of the herd, there was at least fifty of them spread out on both sides of the highway.

  1. Some good looking wildlife for a Monday morning.
(I like these rams much more than the ones I saw at the Dodge dealership.)

  2. So cool to see that many in the wild! I thought they were so wary they'd have ran for the hills. But perhaps they're not so skittish being in a national park where they don't get hunted?

    1. These ones hang out in the same spot year after year. They know nothing will happen to them but they are wild animals. I was about twenty feet away in my vehicle at the side of the highway. Some of the tourists do stupid things like trying to get as close as possible to get a photo. I stay a healthy distance from wildlife.
