I live in an apartment style condo on the second floor. Lately I have been walking to the stairwell, up sixteen stairs to the next floor, down the hall, take the elevator down to my floor and down the hall back to my place. All on crutches. A few times I did two flights of stairs instead of one. Today was my personal best, one hundred twenty-eight stairs and about one thousand feet of walking on crutches. We will see how I feel in the morning.
That is the kind of grit and determination that ends up with great recovery.
ReplyDeleteProgress! Stairs even!!!
ReplyDeleteYowza! You are determined to master those crutches, aren't you!
ReplyDeleteGood on you BW! I'm sure your physio 'person' is pleased with your progress.
ReplyDeleteKeep at it. Do your therapy exercises and you will get there.
ReplyDeleteI sprained my knee in late November. I subsequentially pulled my thigh muscle over compensating for the knee. Stairs still gives me problems and I stop limping after 4 or 5 steps but I am getting better. It sucks getting old.
