Don Wilson

I heard by chance that Don Wilson died. He ran this YouTube channel. 


His obituary:


I mention him because I doubt anyone will match him in documenting places that long since disappeared in Saskatchewan. He also posted some of his other interests. I watched his videos from time to time and found that I had been to a number of the same places.

    From his obit, it sounds like he had a full and interesting life. I'm sure his videos will be invaluable to Saskatchewan historians of the future. What a record he leaves behind!

    When planning backroads trips in SK, I always checked to see if Don Wilson had been there. He was a great researcher and left a lasting legacy. May he RIP.

    My local history fades daily. To make things worse, much is forever lost due to a lack of those like Don Wilson.
