Been a major spam effort over here also.
Well crap - that sucks. I've had moderation turned on for a long time because every time I take it off I get hit so it's easier just to stick with it.

I get more than a half dozen spam comments on my traingeek site every day. Fortunately they all go into moderation so I can deal with them at my convenience.
