Random post

A snowstorm is whacking a large chunk of Alberta. Actually we are under a snowfall warning. Schools are closed and highways are being shut down. Being holed up in my condo and not having to go anywhere was working well (especially since I picked up a bit of an cold) until the fire alarm went off and the building had to be evacuated. It eventually turned out to be a false alarm.

I rushed to the parkade and drove out before three fire units showed up. At least I was going to be nice and warm in my car if it was serious. Only the main routes are clear and the side streets are becoming more and more of a mess with the continued snowfall. On the bright my new Mazda AWD CX30 is proving to be quite good in the snow. It is now back in its heated underground home and I am back hoping to not be interrupted like that again.

  1. People that do not exist within reality deem it a necessity to announce a snow warning. During winter in the great white north. Great job there captain obvious! They wonder why people have stopped watching and listening. Life is already hard enough with out the lunatic brigade carrying on incessantly about the weather and scaring the stupid into panic buying.

  2. Those fire alarms never seen to choose to go off in decent weather do they. We escaped the predicted big snow and ice event yesterday although south of us got the brunt of it. Tomorrow there's more snow coming. I am SOOOOO over winter!!
