Return to The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Saint Michael the Archangel

I posted this one on a prior visit on May 11, 2020. I was in the area on May 29, 2020 and wanted to revisit it with a friend of mine who is also into old churches. The last time I was here there was graffiti on the outside. Someone covered over it in white since then. It was a lot nicer day on this visit.

Remains of the bell tower.

The church is on a bit of a hill up from the cemetery.

  1. It always saddens me to see old churches and graveyards become neglected, but when man abandons them, nature soon begins to reclaim the area.

  2. Good to know that someone cared enough to cover the graffiti (and shame on those that defaced it in the first place!)
