Then again so are a lot of people at this time of year.
I made the mistake of taking a position on the condominium board where I live. I have three condo related events after work this week. I dislike meetings so I try to get items addressed and taken care of in a timely manner. One of the events was a meet and greet with our new property management firm. I believe in creating and maintaining a good relationship with organizations and companies. I attend long enough to be polite.
I got my one Christmas gift done. The family are all adults and we stopped buying gifts for each other. I just get a gift for my special needs nephew. He is hard to buy for so he gets cash. I prefer not giving cash because I like to put thought into actually buying a gift. He is incredibly hard to buy for and he likes video games, of which I know nothing about, so he gets cash.
Christmas will be spent with the family. We are a small group and I volunteered to provide wine for Christmas Day. I bought enough that there should be a bottle or two left over. If they need anything else I have no problem contributing.
My office is moving and they want to see if they can do this before the end of the year. It is a small office with four employees. We are one of two small branch offices. There is not a lot of time left before the end of the year so this might be interesting. This time of year always seems to be a bit rushed.
You need another hobby! - lol
ReplyDeleteYou don't like meetings and yet you joined your condo board? Hahahahahahahaha! Pardon me for laughing, but that's a good one.
ReplyDeleteI volunteered in a moment of weakness.
DeleteHmmm - forgot to sit on your hands and they ended up volunteering you all on their own? Funny how those fits of madness overcome us at times. And moving offices at this time of year - wow.
