The Ukrainian Church in Cooks Creek Manitoba

More formally known as the Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church, the Cooks Creek Ukrainian church is by far the largest structure in tiny Cooks Creek, Manitoba. The "prairie cathedral" was started in 1930 and was completed in 1952. It was designed by the Very Reverend Philip Ruh. Like most Ukrainian churches, it has a separate bell tower.
The adjacent grotto is modeled after the Lady of Lourdes Grotto in France and was started in 1954. The grotto was completed in 1970.
The church is in active, weekly use. The annual Cooks Creek Medieval Festival is held here as well.
