Highland Hall

Stone buildings are not common in rural Alberta. You usually find them in places where eastern Europeans settled. This is in a place called Barich, Alberta. The only buildings here are the hall, a church across the road, and a nearby farm. The hall was built in 1933, was eventually left to deteriorate, then was restored. The walls are stone, the roof is wood.

  1. First stone building I've ever seen with a western false front!

  2. Nice building. I hope they continue to take care of it.
